How it works

  1. Your address. Estima+ finds your home on the satellite photo and measures the roof surface, slope included. You can adjust the outline if needed.
  2. Your project. Redo the whole roof, repair one part only or change the covering, and the approximate age of the current roof.
  3. A few questions. The shape of the roof seen from the street and its slope, the covering in place (asphalt shingles, elastomeric membrane or metal), the signs you have noticed and what sits on the roof (chimney, skylight, dormer).
  4. Your estimated price. A price calculated with Estima+ price grids, based on the measured surface, the covering you choose and the particulars of your roof.

What makes the price go up or down

The roof surface, slope included, and its shape (two slopes, four slopes, mansard). The covering you choose: asphalt shingles, metal, elastomeric membrane or slate. A steep slope, which takes more time and safety equipment. Chimneys, skylights and dormers, whose flashings must be redone. A large roof costs less per square foot than a small one, and a partial repair costs less than a full roof.
