How it works

  1. Your address. Estima+ finds your home and its year of construction, a clue to the age of its windows.
  2. Your photos. One photo per side of the house, or one photo per window from inside: Estima+ counts the openings and recognizes their type (casement, slider, hung window, patio door, entry door). Without photos, you see the estimated price for a typical house.
  3. A few questions. What you want: new windows and doors, only the sealed glass unit where the frame allows it, or exterior caulking. Then the floor of the highest openings and the wall covering (brick or other).
  4. Your estimated price. A price calculated with Estima+ price grids, opening by opening, with the total and the possible grants.

What makes the price go up or down

The number of openings and their size. The type of opening: a patio door or an entry door costs more than a slider window. A full replacement or only the sealed glass unit. A brick or stone wall, which takes longer to work on. The floor: on the second or third floor, scaffolding is sometimes needed. An enlarged or new opening is assessed on site by the expert.
